How to Play
- File a homestead claim in 1880 and choose to become a successful farmer, businessperson, or politician by 1920.
- Use the picture buttons along the bottom of the homestead to review cash, savings, trivia, building plans, and achievements.
- Visit the field to plow, buy and plant seed, harvest ripe crops, and sell grain in town. Each plot is 20 acres.
- Visit town for the general store, bank, land office, grain dealer, and businesses. Loans accrue the original annual interest rate.
- Use the visible travel buttons along the bottom of the field, house, town, store, or bank. With a keyboard, Tab to Travel destinations, then Tab to a destination and press Enter.
- Tab to a signature and press Enter or Space to sign, or draw with a pointer. In the original menu, use the volume slider’s arrow keys, Home, and End. Sound Off stays muted.
- Turn on Target hints to outline available controls. Hover or focus a small target to read its name below the toolbar. Hints do not choose actions for you.
- Advance the calendar carefully. Living costs, historical events, family changes, weather, letters, and neighbor conversations unfold through 1920.
- The game saves to this device and your signed-in Keeper cloud save. Save and Load keep a separate local checkpoint. Download backups to keep extra homesteads.
